How to Shop
Shopping on FactoryElectric.com is easy:
- Select your preferred currency:
American Dollar | British Pound | South African Rand | Euro - Use our product search to find the products you require
- Click the “Add to basket” link
- Once you are happy with the contents of your shopping basket either create a free account and choose your preferred payment method or login to your existing account
- You will then be directed to our checkout system where you can review your order and submit it to us
- You will then be emailed a copy of your order and a pro-forma invoice advising you of the total amount due and our bank details, either in the UK or South Africa
- We will contact you within 24 hours to confirm payment and collection arrangements
- We have collection points in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo, Gweru, Kwe Kwe and Bindura
How to Pay
We currently accept payments in American Dollars, British Pounds, South African Rands and Euros.
FactoryElectric.com accepts your payment via the following methods:
- Credit / Debit card
We accept Master Card, Visa, Maestro, Solo and Visa Electron cards via our secure HSBC online payment system. Checkout via or Paypal and Google pay are to be added soon. - Electronic Transfer
You can transfer funds directly from your account to ours in the UK or in South Africa. - Cash
If you wish to pay cash for your purchase, this can be deposited directly into our accounts in UK or South Africa. If the cash is in Zimbabwe, you can either take your cash into any bank in Zimbabwe and ask them to transfer it to our account. - Cheque
All cheques will need to clear with our bankers prior to collection of your purchase. - Personal FCA in Zimbabwe
Using a Zimbabwean personal FCA is easy, simply take the pro-forma invoice that is sent to you on completion of your order to your bank, that operates your FCA, and ask them to transfer the funds directly into our account. - Corporate FCA in Zimbabwe
Unfortunately using funds in a Zimbabwean Corporate FCA is difficult because of all of the bureaucracy caused by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. However it is possible for us to make the necessary arrangements to facilitate this. Please contact us to discuss.

We are currently offering free delivery within Harare and offer convenient collection points in the following locations:
- Bulawayo
- Mutare
- Masvingo
- Gweru
- Kwe Kwe
- Bindura
If you wish to purchase something that you physically can’t transport yourself, in some instances we may be able to assist. Please contact us for advice.
Is shopping on your website safe?
Yes, Shopping on our website is safe, any personal information you may enter while shopping on FactoryElectric.com is encrypted. We carry a Starfield Technologies Web Server Certificate. Transactions on the site are protected with up to 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer encryption. This means that any personal information you may provide or purchases you may make, cannot be read or interpreted by a third party.
I live overseas can I buy something for someone in Zimbabwe?
Yes you can! Simply create your free account, make your purchases and add the details of the recipient to your order. We will contact them to advise them of where they can collect their item(s) / gift(s) from once payment has been confirmed with you.
The item I wish to purchase says “Temporarily out of stock.” How long does it take for new stocks to arrive?
We receive regular shipments of our products and therefore the item you may want to purchase could be anywhere from 1 day to 3 weeks away from being available on the website. Please either contact us and ask about your particular product or add it/them to your basket and complete the basket enquiry form to find out.
Can someone else pay for items I wish to purchase?
Yes. The person making the purchase can create an account with us, order your goods and add you as the recipient of the purchase.
I live in Zimbabwe, am I breaking the law by shopping with you?
No! You are not breaking any laws in Zimbabwe by shopping on FactoryElectric.com, provided the funds that you pay with are free funds.
Your prices include cents - why do you do this when there is no change in Zimbabwe?
We include the cent value unlike other outlets in Zimbabwe as we don't believe in adding an additional cost, by rounding up prices on items you wish to purchase. If after your purchase we owe you some change, you can gladly put your hand in the "cookie jar" and select something of similar value to what is owed.
